In early May 2010, CA released MICS r12.5 (PSP1004) with maintenance fixes and significant component upgrade PTFs.  The distribution content is  no longer being delivered by tape unless requested from CA Technical Support.  CA is using its PAX-based Enhanced Electronic Software Deliver (ESD) facility to deliver what used to be sent on the tape – you must use Unix System Services (USS) and FTP to transfer the ESD binary content directly from the CA FTP site to your system as a USS file.  Several MICS distribution content files are extracted using PAX and they get reconstituted as MVS datasets in the ESD processing.  The CA announcement for this new distribution provides a CA support hyperlink to the ESD documentation.
